A little bit about Inn on a Whim:
Purchasing a neglected bed and breakfast on Cape Cod is not a typical impulse buy, but Claire McGowen is not a typical woman. She outshone the fireworks at her 4th of July parties, but lacked the energy to flip the calendar page at New Year’s. Her family enjoyed poking fun at “Crazy Claire” until she flipped her car and ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Needless to say, they were not amused.
Now newly divorced and estranged from her sister, Claire must rebuild her life. She may lack experience and a plan, but she is determined to make her new business a place where other women can seek refuge and take time to reflect, if for no other reason than to prove her ex-husband wrong.
Claire has just four months to make A Place to Think a success. Will she stumble under the weight of her mental health once again, or will she rely on her new friends to move forward with her life?
When I am not chipping away at my own books, I cherish the opportunity to help other authors bring their books to fruition. Not only am I a developmental editor and book coach (check out the Editorial Services tab), I also teach Basic Fiction Writing at my local community college. I love to see the excitement in my students eyes when they realize that they really can take their story from idea to first draft.
